Lumala Abdu’s Journey

How Lumala’s story embodies resilience, hope, and the importance of community support, and why he created LAYI.

From a Small Village in Uganda to Global Football Advocate

Born into hardship in rural Uganda, he grew up facing loss, displacement, and a search for identity.

After being separated from his mother, he was raised by his grandmother and later taken in by foster guardians. Despite the emotional scars, Lumala found strength on the field.
